Management & Leadership Courses

INTRODUCTION

The mark of a true leader is how many people are willing to follow them. These courses are specially designed to highlight the necessary management skill that are vital for effective leadership.

Managers and leaders come in many different shapes and sizes, and their responsibilities can be varied. However, the most important skill any manager can have is the ability to communicate openly and honestly with those under their employ. These programmes show delegates the key to building lasting workplace relationships whilst developing core leadership skills and productivity strategies.

Our courses cover a range of topics depending on our clients’ needs. They are designed to be bespoke and responsive, as we know that every manager is different. Although key topics—such as time management, managing distractions and building an effective team—will be covered, we will also look at the finer points of leadership, such as how behaviour and communication can be used as a core influencing tool.

Our current training programmes are:

Empower Leadership Programme

Our Empower Leadership Programme is designed to equip managers with the knowledge and skills required to be high-performing and confident leaders. The programme will provide delegates with the tools to create the right working environment for their teams, implement process improvements and facilitate the delivery of successful projects.

Utilise the experiences of your peers (and your course leader) to broaden your intellectual horizons and your understanding of what it means to be an effective leader. We believe that, through learning and group participation, all delegates will increase their capacity for management, learn how to assess the impact of their behaviours, and identify areas for improvement.

This course seeks to teach delegates how to review the way in which they work and develop their management skills. It covers six topics:

  • The Leadership Challenge
  • Inclusive Leadership
  • Leading Communication
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Leading Performance
  • Leading Change (It Starts with You)

  • Lobbying for Change
  • Enabling Others to Act
  • Encouraging Growth in Others

Coaching and Mentoring

Learning and development is a huge part of professional progression, and managers have a responsibility to ensure their employees are growing. This programme covers the fundamental topics of coaching and mentoring, including:

  • Encouraging the Heart
  • Sharing Rewards
  • Celebrating Accomplishments
  • Making Celebration Part of Your Culture
  • Basic Influencing Skills

Change and Conflict Management

Change and conflict are unavoidable complications within an organisation. Change, whether it’s related to project management, personnel roles or business strategies, need to be managed effectively. Conflict and conflict resolution is also a necessary but complicated aspect of a managerial role—there can be both professional and personal issues that need to be resolved within a workplace, and managers are usually the first port of call for a solution.

This course takes you through the essential components of managing change and conflict, and will familiarise you with various approaches and techniques that can be used to deal with both effectively.
